The questions people ask most, then an email address if yours is not here.

How do I play?

Your blade has a number, shown at the top. Numbers fly up. Swipe through the ones your blade goes into and leave the rest. If your blade is a 3, slice 24 (3 × 8) and leave 25 alone.

Why did my blade clank?

You sliced a number your blade doesn't go into, so it bounced off and cost a heart. The card at the end of the run says why, like "24 is 4 × 6, so the 7 bounced off."

What happens to a number after I slice it?

It splits into your blade number and what is left. Slice 24 with a 3 and you get a 3 coin and an 8. If your blade still goes into the 8, slice it again.

What is Easy mode?

Three minutes on the clock and you can't lose. The numbers stay small, and every Easy run adds to an all-time score.

What are the two gold coins?

Once or twice a game, two gold coins fly up together. Slice them and your blade becomes both numbers multiplied for 10 seconds, and every cut counts double.

How do high scores work?

Normal and Easy each keep a top 10 on your device. Make the board and you tap in three letters for your name.

How do I change how it looks?

Pick one on the title card. After a run, Pick a look takes you back there. There are five looks, and all of them are free.

What is the card between runs?

On Android, now and then, a card shows one of our other games. It never shows during a run, and you can close it after 3 seconds. Going to Google Play from it asks a grown-up question first.

I got a new phone. Where did my scores go?

Scores stay on the device where they were played and are not copied to a new one, so a new phone starts fresh.
