Free printable Halloween mazesHow it works
- Pick a set, or choose Your own words and type a word and its clue on each line, like cat: Says meow.
- It puts the longest word in the middle and crosses the rest through it, then numbers the grid.
- Hit Shuffle for a different layout, then Print. The answer key prints on its own page.
Questions
Is it free?
Yes. No sign up, and you can print as many as you want. The only extra on the sheet is a small footer: where it came from, and a QR code to more free games.
How do I write the clues?
One line per word: the word, a colon, then the clue. So dove: Came back with an olive leaf. The clue is whatever you want them to read.
Why did a word get left out?
Every word in a crossword has to cross another one. If a word shares no letters with the rest, it has nowhere to go. Add a word that shares a letter, or hit Shuffle.
Is there an answer key?
Yes. Show answers fills the grid on screen, and Print the answer key prints it on its own sheet.
Do you keep my words?
No. The puzzle is made in your browser and nothing you type is sent anywhere.
