How it works
Explore
Every division fact up to 81 ÷ 9 on 81 keys, or up to 144 ÷ 12 on the big board. Push one down and the answer is underneath.
Speed run
The board calls a division with its first number missing, like ? ÷ 7 = 8. Push the key that fits, which is 56 ÷ 7. You get 60 seconds, and your best score is saved for each number you divide by.
Streak
No clock. Every right key stays down and the board warms up at 5, 10 and 25 in a row. One wrong key ends the run.
Why the first number is missing
Reading 56 ÷ 7 off a chart is quick. Knowing that 7 eights make 56 is the hard part.
So the games hide the first number. To find ? ÷ 7 = 8 you have to know 7 × 8. That is the multiplication fact and the division fact at the same time, and a number you miss comes back more often until you have it.
Questions
Is the division chart free?
Yes, the division chart is free. There is no account to make, nothing to download and no ads on this page. Your best scores are saved in your own browser, so they stay on your device. Printing the chart, filled in or blank, is free too.
What is a division chart?
A division chart is every basic division fact laid out in a grid, so you can look one up fast. This one goes from 1 ÷ 1 up to 144 ÷ 12. Each row divides by one number, so the 7 row reads 7 ÷ 7, 14 ÷ 7, 21 ÷ 7 and so on.
How does it help with division facts?
Division facts are multiplication facts read backwards: 56 ÷ 7 = 8 because 7 × 8 = 56. The games here hide the first number, so you have to remember the multiplication to find the key. Every fact you learn that way counts twice.
Can I practice dividing by one number?
Yes. In Speed run and Streak, tap a number under the modes and the board only calls facts that divide by it. Your best score is saved for each number and each board size, so dividing by 7 on the 12 by 12 board has its own record.
Can I print the division chart?
Yes. Scroll down to the printable chart, pick a size from 5 up to 12, and print it. You can print it filled in for the wall, or with the answers left blank so a kid can write in every one by hand.
