How it works
Explore
All 100 keys. Push one and the board tells you about it: odd or even, its tens and ones, and what is 10 more. Keys stay down, so you can mark a pattern of your own.
Patterns
Tap a number next to Count by and every multiple goes down at once. The 5s make two straight columns. The 10s make one.
Count by
Pick a number and push its multiples in order. The clock stops on the last one, and your best time is saved for each number.
Find it
Ten clues, like 10 more than 27, or 4 tens and 6 ones. Push the number each one means. Your best time is saved.
What a hundreds chart is for
A hundreds chart is the numbers 1 to 100 in ten rows of ten. One step right adds 1. One step down adds 10.
That makes patterns easy to see. Counting by 5s is the 5 times table, so this is where multiplication starts.
Questions
Is the hundreds chart free?
Yes, the hundreds chart is free. There is no account to make, nothing to download and no ads on this page. Your best times are saved in your own browser, so they stay on your device. Printing the chart, filled in or blank, is free too.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. All 100 keys fit on a phone screen without scrolling, and each one pushes down under your thumb. The keys are small on a phone, so if you are counting by 2s against the clock, a tablet or a laptop gives your finger more room.
What is skip counting?
Skip counting is counting by a number other than 1, like 5, 10, 15, 20. Every number you say is a multiple of the one you are counting by. That makes it the first step toward times tables: counting by 5s four times lands on 20, which is 4 × 5.
Is a hundreds chart the same as a 100 chart?
Yes. Hundreds chart, hundred chart, 100 chart, hundreds board and 1 to 100 number chart are all names for the same thing: the numbers 1 to 100 in ten rows of ten. Some start at 0 and end at 99 instead. This one runs 1 to 100.
Can I print the hundreds chart?
Yes. Scroll down to the printable hundreds chart and print it. You can print it with every number filled in, or blank so a kid can write in 1 to 100 by hand. Both are free, and you can print as many as you need.
