Getting started
Install Your Data Rights from Google Play and open it. There’s no account to make and nothing to sign into. Tap Start with lesson 1.
Modules 1 to 4 are free, and so are the first lessons on cookie banners and personalized prices. Each lesson takes about five minutes and ends with one sentence worth repeating.
Unlocking the full course
One payment through Google Play unlocks Modules 5 to 24, every Field Card and every Talk Card. It’s not a subscription, so there’s nothing to cancel.
If a payment is still going through, the app says so and opens the course on its own once the store confirms it.
Getting your unlock back
New phone, or reinstalled the app? Make sure the Play Store is signed in to the Google account that bought the unlock. Then open Your Data Rights, tap Me, then Restore a purchase.
If it says no unlock was found, the store is probably signed in to a different account. The unlock belongs to the account that paid for it.
Refunds
The purchase goes through Google Play, so refunds do too. Play’s refund page walks you through it.
Starting over
Tap Me, then Start over, to wipe your progress, cards and story on that phone. There’s no undo. Starting over keeps the unlock, so you won’t pay twice.
Making it easier to read
Tap Me to set the text size to Normal, Large or Extra large, or to turn on Less motion.
The practice screens
The cookie banners, settings screens and TV setup screens in the lessons are the course’s own copies, built to be poked at. Tapping Reject all in a lesson doesn’t change anything on a real site or in your real settings. Each one says which month it was checked, because these screens get redesigned and the lessons get a yearly pass.
Is this legal advice?
No. It’s education. The course explains what the law says and what your options are, and it tells you plainly when a situation is one to take to a real lawyer. Your rights depend on where you live, and the course says so instead of pretending there’s one answer.
Something looks out of date
Some of it will be. Privacy law moved in several states in 2026 alone, and settings screens get renamed every year. Every lesson that leans on a moving law or a menu path is dated. If you find one that’s wrong, email us, and say which module it was.
Devices it runs on
Android 7.0 or newer. The iPhone and iPad version comes later. Once it’s installed, the lessons work without an internet connection.
Your data
The app doesn’t collect anything about you. No account, no analytics, no ads. Your progress stays on your phone.
