Your Data Rights privacy policy

Short version: a course about data rights that collected your data would be a bad joke, so this one doesn’t. No account, no analytics, no ads. Your progress stays on your phone.
Who this covers
This policy covers the Your Data Rights app for Android, made by Pettigrew Lab LLC. The iPhone and iPad version follows the same rules when it ships.
What the app stores
Your progress through the lessons, the Talk Cards you’ve collected, how far you’ve got in the story about Nora’s shoe ad, the Dinner Table Challenges you’ve checked off, your settings, and whether you’ve unlocked the full course.
All of it is saved on your phone, inside the app. It’s never sent to us or to anyone else, and we can’t see it.
What the app doesn’t do
There’s no account and nothing to sign into, so we don’t have your name, email or password.
There are no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising and no tracking of any kind, and no third-party code in the app that reports on you. The lessons work in airplane mode.
The practice screens are the course’s own. When you tap Reject all on the cookie banner in Module 5, or turn off an ad setting in Module 7, you’re working a copy built for the lesson. Nothing you do there leaves the app, and nothing changes on the real site or in your real settings.
Buying the full course
The one-time unlock is sold through Google Play. Google handles the payment under its own privacy policy, and we never see your card details or your Google account.
The app asks the store one thing: has the account on this phone bought the unlock? The answer is saved on the phone as a yes or no. We don’t keep order numbers or purchase history.
Sharing a card
When you share a Talk Card or a Field Card, the share sheet opens and you pick where it goes. The app doesn’t send anything on its own, and it doesn’t know what you did with it.
The Dinner Table Challenge
Every module ends with a question to ask someone you live with. You check it off yourself. The app has no idea whether the conversation happened, which is the point.
Who it’s for
The course is written for adults. The app collects no personal information from anyone, so it collects none from children either. The same summary is inside the app, under Me, then Your privacy in this app.

The About screen has a link to pettigrewlab.com. It opens in your browser.
Deleting your data
Tap Me, then Start over, to wipe your progress, cards and story. Uninstalling the app deletes everything it stored. There’s nothing on our side to delete, because nothing was ever sent to us.
Starting over keeps the unlock and your settings. If you uninstall, tap Me, then Restore a purchase after reinstalling, and the store brings the unlock back, as long as you’re signed in to the same Google account.
If this changes
If a future version ever sends data anywhere, this page gets updated before that version ships, and the date at the top changes.
