Star Signs privacy policy
Last updated September 28, 2026
Short version: no account, no analytics, no ads, no location. Your sign, your progress and your birthday, if you give it, stay on your phone.
Who this covers
This policy covers the Star Signs app for Android, made by Pettigrew Lab LLC. The iPhone and iPad version follows the same rules when it ships.
What the app stores
The sign you picked, and your birthday if you chose to give it: month and day only, never the year. Your progress through the lessons, the Talk Cards you’ve collected, the lines of your reading so far, the Dinner Table Challenges you’ve checked off, your settings, and whether you’ve unlocked the full course. It also notes the day you first opened the app and the version it last asked for a rating on, so it doesn’t ask too soon or twice.
All of it is saved on your phone, inside the app. It’s never sent to us or to anyone else, and we can’t see it.
What the app doesn’t do
There’s no account and nothing to sign into, so we don’t have your name, email or password.
It never asks for your location. The sky toys use a latitude slider you set yourself, and your phone’s time zone stands in for your longitude.
There are no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising and no tracking of any kind. The lessons work in airplane mode.
Buying the full course
The one-time unlock is sold through Google Play. Google handles the payment under its own privacy policy, and we never see your card details or your Google account.
The app asks the store one thing: has the account on this phone bought the unlock? The answer is saved on the phone as a yes or no.
The rating box
Now and then, after you finish a module, your phone may show the store’s own “rate this app” box. It comes from Google Play, not from us, and we never learn whether you answered it. The app asks the store at most once per version, and never on the day you install it.
Sharing a card
When you share a Talk Card or a Sky Card, the share sheet opens and you pick where it goes. The app doesn’t send anything on its own.
Who it’s for
The course is written for teenagers and adults. The app collects no personal information from anyone, so it collects none from children either. The same summary is inside the app, under Me, then Your privacy in this app.
Deleting your data
Tap Me, then Start over, to wipe your progress, cards and reading. Your sign and the unlock stay. Uninstalling the app deletes everything it stored. There’s nothing on our side to delete, because nothing was ever sent to us.
If this changes
If a future version ever sends data anywhere, this page gets updated before that version ships, and the date at the top changes.
