Who this covers

This policy covers the Side by Play app, made by Pettigrew Lab LLC, on every device it runs on.

What the app stores

Each kid’s name, if you type one in, plus their stars, their night sky, their levels, and the letters and states they’ve done. Your settings, like sound, how long a rhyme race lasts, and the dares in the Star Jar. And the silly pictures on the fridge, up to the newest 12.

All of it is saved on your device, inside the app. It’s never sent to us or to anyone else, and we can’t see it.

What the app doesn’t do

There’s no account and nothing to sign into, so we don’t have your name, your kids’ names or your email.

There are no ads, no analytics, no crash reporting and no tracking, and no third-party code in the app that reports on anyone. The app doesn’t connect to the internet, and it never asks for the microphone, the camera or your location.

Voices

When sound is on, words are spoken by your device’s own built-in voice. Nothing is recorded, and nothing a kid says is heard or saved.

Sharing a picture

If a grown-up presses and holds Share on a fridge picture, your device’s share sheet opens and the picture goes wherever you choose to send it. The app never sends it anywhere on its own.

Buying the app

You buy Side by Play once through Google Play or the App Store. They handle the payment under their own privacy policies, and we never see your card details or your store account.

Kids

Side by Play is made for kids 3 to 6, playing with a grown-up. It collects no personal information from anyone, so it collects none from children either. There are no ads, no chat and no links out of the app.

Deleting your data

In Grown-ups, tap Remove next to a kid’s name to delete just that kid, or hold the clear button to wipe everything the app has saved. Deleting the app deletes all of it too. There’s nothing on our side to delete, because nothing was ever sent to us.

If this changes

If a future version ever sends data anywhere, this page gets updated before that version ships, and the date at the top changes.
