Moving to a new phone
Open Settings and tap Save a copy. That makes one file with every story. Keep it somewhere you’ll find it again: Files, Drive, or an email to yourself.
On the new phone, open Settings and tap Bring back my stories, then pick that file. Stories already on the phone stay. If the file has a newer version of one, the newer one wins. The Told it history from both phones is kept.
A story says “Photo no longer on this phone”
The photo was deleted or isn’t on this phone. The story itself is fine. Tap Choose another to pick a different photo, or leave it without one.
On iPhone, a photo won’t show
If you let the app see only some of your photos, a photo outside that set can’t show. Add it in your phone’s Settings, under That One Time, Photos.
I closed a story by accident
If it had a first line, it saved. Closing a story any way at all saves it. Only the X throws one away, and even then there’s an Undo.
