Who this covers

This policy covers the PalmCue app, made by Pettigrew Lab LLC, on every device it runs on.

What the app stores

The talks you paste in or type, how they are cut into cards, which cards you starred, the length you set for each talk, and your settings for the pulses and the screen.

All of it is saved on your phone, inside the app. It is never sent to us or to anyone else, and we cannot see it.

On Android, your talks are left out of phone backups and device transfers. On iPhone, they’re part of your phone’s own backup if you use one, under your Apple account, the same as any app’s data.

What the app asks your phone for

While a talk is open, PalmCue keeps the screen awake and sets its own brightness, and puts both back when you leave.

On Android, if you give it permission, it turns on Do Not Disturb while a talk is open so a call can’t cut in, and turns it back off when you leave. That permission lets it switch Do Not Disturb on and off. It can’t read your notifications.

If you share text into PalmCue from another app, that text becomes a new talk on your phone and goes nowhere else.

What the app doesn’t do

There is no account and nothing to sign into, so we don’t have your name or your email unless you write to us yourself.

There are no ads, no analytics, no crash reporting, no tracking and no third party code in the app that reports on anyone.

The app doesn’t ask for your microphone, your camera, your contacts or your location. It doesn’t record you speaking and it doesn’t listen to the room.

The internet

PalmCue works with the phone offline, and it is built not to send your talks anywhere. If a future version ever needs the network for something, that is a change to this page first.

Buying the app

When it is out, you buy PalmCue once through the App Store or Google Play. They handle the payment under their own privacy policies, and we never see your card details or your store account.

Deleting your data

Delete a talk from the list, or hold the clear button in Settings to wipe everything the app has saved. Deleting the app deletes all of it too. There is nothing on our side to delete, because nothing was ever sent to us.

If you email us

If you write to the address below, we have your email and whatever you put in the message, and we keep it only as long as it takes to answer you.

If this changes

If a future version ever sends data anywhere, this page is updated before that version ships, and the date at the top changes.
